The weather in Japan is getting colder, and fall has officially arrived – it’s important to stay warm but also stylish.
A simple, good outfit can easily boost one’s confidence and spirit throughout the day. A few staple pieces can always elevate a look in an effortless way. As someone who tries to put effort into themselves at least once a week, here are my fall/winter fashion essentials for the season.
1. heat tech
The key to staying warm without the bulk. Made of an innovative fabric that traps body heat while being thin and breathable. Perfect for layering, lightweight and cozy.
Everyone knows Uniqlo, but a more affordable alternative is from their sister brand GU!
2.hoodies/pull-overs
Truly, nothing beats a good, comfortable sweater on a chilly day. Choosing neutral colours such as black, grey, white, or even navy for easy layering. Oversized, cropped, or fitted, there truly is no way to go wrong. Here are a few of my favourites.
3. jackets
A great jacket ties every cold weather outfit together. A classic black leather jacket works for early fall, while a padded puffer is most suitable for those cold winter days. Opting for timeless silhouettes and colours to make any outfit match perfectly. This Hollister puffer jacket is currently on my to-buy list for winter.
4. wedge sneakers
Wedge sneakers combine the comfy everyday style with a boost of height and stylishness. These shoes are my favourite for days when I need a boost of height and confidence to stride through the day. Easily paired with any type of fit: leggings, sweatpants, jeans, or even a skirt.
5. False tights
The true must have for girls who love skirts and dresses. These clever tights, usually lined inside with fleece, make it so you look like you’re wearing sheer tights while keeping you away from the frost. Perfect for those who don’t want to sacrifice warmth or their skirts.
With these staples — cozy layers, sleek sneakers, and warm textures — you’ll stay comfortable and effortlessly stylish all season long!!
