Now that we are in October, the weather is perfect for going outside. Many of you might hope to get out of the house for once but feel hesitant to travel too far because of Covid-19. For those looking for somewhere to go nearby, I have compiled a list of four lovely afternoon tea services right here in Tokyo! You can even use Go To Campaign discounts at many of these locations, so let take this opportunity to discover new places to have fun in Tokyo.

Pink Afternoon Tea | The Peninsula Tokyo

At The Peninsula Tokyo in Yurakucho, you can enjoy an afternoon tea that supports the Pink Ribbon Movement’s cause of early breast cancer detection and treatment! In honor of October’s breast cancer awareness month, 500 yen is donated to the Japan Breast Cancer Screening Society for each tea service. You can only enjoy this cute pink tea service and support this cause for a limited time this October! There are only a few days left, but let us enjoy it to its fullest!

Ruby Chocolate Afternoon Tea | ANA Intercontinental Hotel Tokyo

Starting November 1st through December 27th, you can enjoy a ruby chocolate afternoon tea service at the ANA Intercontinental Hotel, Tokyo. These super instagrammable natural pink treats are made with ruby chocolate and use no artificial coloring at all! Why not give this new type of chocolate—unique from milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate—a try at this tea service?

Autumn Afternoon Tea ~Royal Violet~  | The Strings Omotesandoh

At The Strings Omotesando Hotel, you can enjoy a Halloween themed afternoon tea service that uses a purple motif. Many tea services use a three-tier serving platter, but this restaurant uses a chair-like pedestal instead, giving the service a luxurious feel. In November, they will be starting a ruby chocolate tea service, much like the one from ANA, which is something to look forward to!

Apple Afternoon Tea | Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo

This afternoon tea service at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo in Edogawabashi makes buzz for being “too good!” This hotel’s calm environment also provides a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. From chestnuts in October, apples in November, and a snow-white theme in December, you can find out what tea themes are coming up ahead of time to make plans to attend the tea service you are most interested in!

Which tea service are you most interested in? Many of these popular afternoon tea services will only take reservations, so if you want to go, be sure to check for an opening ahead of time. Time to get all dolled up and head to a dreamy afternoon tea service!
