Fall Break has finally arrived at HWS! Although the short break is supposed to be about family and friends, the long weekend also means some guilt free down-time. So whether you’re stuck on campus, bedridden with the back-to-school plague, or just in need of some Netflix therapy, go open the Netflix tab and chill a little bit! Fall Break is only four days making it dangerous territory to start a new show. You will undoubtably find yourself squeezing in as many episodes before classes start on Wednesday! Want to avoid starting a new season, and completely ruining your sleep schedule, or barring yourself from focusing on school work when classes start? Try out some of those movies you always seem, and mean to watch as you scroll to find Orange is the New Black.Â
Here’s a list of 3 movies you should watch this Fall Break (one for each day of course!):
1) Bridget Jones’s Diary: If you haven’t seen this classic chick-flick…you have to make it the first on your list. Bridget Jones finds herself in a love triangle with two British pieces of eye candy, Hugh Grant and Colin Firth. Snuggle up in a blanket and fall in love alongside Bridget and go crazy over this British comedy. (P.S. the sequel is on Netflix too!!!) – We agree Colin, Bridget Jones’s Diary is the most incredible sh*t.
2) The Graduate: This classic film follows the messy love life of Ben, a college graduate who’s attracted the lust of an older woman, while he finds himself falling in love with another woman. The 1970’s fashion and filming will bring you back 40 years and will have you singing to Simon and Garfunkel’s hit “Mrs. Robinson” in no time! Mrs. Robinson was the original Netflix and chill! Â
3) The Rebound: One of Netflix’s hidden gems, this romantic comedy will have you swooning over the nice guy and loathing the single mom. What would happen if a very cute young man was hired as your “manny?” Find out what Katherine Zeta Jones did in, The Rebound. You’ll find yourself wanting to watch this film twice!
