The Story of HWS Students in the Spring

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at HWS chapter.

There are no words to describe how excited we are to see the sun. We spent all winter bundled up and questioning its existence. Hope was beginning to fade when the ground was coated with snow in April, but finally the sun is out! So, we are all dancing for joy like this giraffe:

60 degrees is still light-sweater weather to most people, but not to HWS students. Any day 60 or above is the perfect time to showcase all our new dresses, rompers and shorts.

Warm weather means a rigorous schedule of dartying, playing on the quad, and laying on the docks.

We are all incredibly sunburned after the first warm weekend. The campus has turned into a sea of lobsters. Worth it.

Our sunburn selves soon realize that we have an enormous amount of work to do, but convince ourselves that we can do it while laying on the quad.

Turns out we weren’t as productive on the quad as we convinced ourselves we were. The work has built up. We are freaking out and force ourselves to go inside as finals approach. We sit in the library, look outside and internally (or externally) cry.

When we finish our last final, we run outside and wish we could spend all summer at Camp Hobart.
