The Best HWS College Student Discounts

If there is one great thing about having a college ID, it is about swiping the college student discount at restaurants and stores. Even if the deal is only 10% off, that 10% can mean a couple dollars and definitely add up in the end. In my experience, it is definitely worth it to carry your ID with you (or a picture of it on your phone!) to always be able to swipe that deal! Here are some useful student discounts both around town and at chain businesses!

  1. 1. Flavors

If you haven’t been to Flavors, you are missing out! The restaurant is focused on Indian cuisine and is in downtown Geneva. If you show your student ID, you can get 15% off your entire bill (or $1 off the buffet) any day of the week. The food is delicious, and if you are new to Indian cuisine, their Tikka Masala is a great place to start!

  2. Forever 21 offers a 15% off discount when you register with Student Beans. This discount works any day of the week, and on sale items too. This code works all year round, so plan ahead for your next shopping trip! It is definitely a steal to get pieces of your Halloween costume, a nice dress for the next holiday, or anything else you may need!

  3. Twisted Calzones is a restaurant in Geneva that offers a free order of garlic knots with every purchase with your OneCard. While this deal only works on Mondays, it is definitely worth it for the delicious, warm garlic knots. Add it onto a few of their delicious calzones for a fun night with friends. Plus, they deliver to campus!

  4. Kate Spade, a luxury handbag company, offers 15% off your online purchases by joining their student program through UNiDAYS. This is definitely a great deal if you are looking for a higher quality bag without breaking the bank. Their products are beautiful, well-made, and cheaper than other luxury goods (especially with the added discount!)

  5. If you are a fan of Sicilian and/or Italian food, this discount is the one for you. Bella’s Sicilian Ristorante is located across from The Smith in downtown Geneva and offers a 20% off discount any day with your OneCard. That is a hefty discount for some delicious pasta, enough to treat yourself to an appetizer or dessert. Plus, the portions are big enough for leftovers, making two meals out of one!

  6. Charlotte Russe is already a pretty affordable store already, and they make the deals even sweeter by offering 10% off in store by showing a valid ID. This is definitely a good place to shop if you’re looking for a cute outfit (and great shoes, too) on a budget. They are reopening their store in Destiny USA at the Syracuse mall, so a fun girls' night out can be made a little cheaper using this discount!

  7. 7. Denny's

Denny’s is a staple for a lot of college students, especially since we have one so conveniently close here in Geneva. Denny’s offers 15% off your purchase any day of the week when you show a valid ID. So, throw all your friends in the car and head to a fun weekend breakfast without breaking the bank. Plus, they’re open 24/7 so you can go at any time of day and receive your discount!

  8. Eddie Bauer is a clothing store that specializes in outdoors and adventure type clothing that offers a 10-15% off discount with valid student ID in stores (% dependent on the location). They offer really high-quality flannels, coats, and much more fitting for the modern outdoor lifestyle. Their clothing is especially great for surviving the cold winters here in Geneva and also makes great gifts for family and friends.

  9. Mark’s is a staple for the average HWS college student, but not a lot of people know they offer a 15% off discount Mondays and Tuesdays with any order over $10. This is a great deal to satisfy the pizza cravings or to split with friends during a busy Monday evening, especially since they deliver. If Mark’s isn’t your thing or you just want one slice and not to spend $10, don’t worry! Cam’s Pizzeria also offers a discount for 10% off any orders on Mondays with your student ID.

  10. J. Crew and Banana Republic are both perfect choices to find professional clothes for internships, interviews, presentations, and any other event a college student might attend. I lumped them together because they both offer 15% off full price items with your student ID. However, J. Crew offers this discount when shopping online, while Banana Republic is only in-store. Either way, these are both great stores to hit up (either online or in person) when you need that perfect business casual outfit, still want to look cute, and don’t want to break the bank!
