Now that we all survived the tundra, it’s time to enjoy our last week and a half in Geneva in the sun. When you are in need of a study break, check out this list of places to go and things to do when you want to enjoy the weather and escape the library.
1. Mr. Twistee’s
When the weather is hot or you’re having a sweet tooth, be sure to check out Twistee’s variety of ice creams, soft serve’s and sundae’s. https://sites.google.com/a/goldsmithlink.com/mrtwistees/
2. Mac’s Drive-in
At this old style burger drive-in, you can either drive up or sit down and enjoy a perfect spring day. Definitely try a traditional burger, fries and a root beer! http://www.macsdrivein.net/
3. Watkins Glen National Park
To get your legs moving and to take a break from the computer, spend some time outside at Watkins Glen. Right near campus is the most famous of the Finger Lake’s Parks. There’s 19 waterfalls and 200-foot-cliffs – all under a 2 mile radius! http://nysparks.com/parks/142/details.aspx
4. F.L.X. Wienery – If you didn’t get your hotdog fix at Mac’s…then F.L.X. Wienery should satisfy. They have gourmet hot dogs, and sausages with the as many toppings as you want. The fries are superb, add those to your order, too! http://www.flxwienery.com/
5. HWS Road Trip Series
If you don’t have a car, that doesn’t mean you still can’t enjoy a fun activity outside. Be sure to check out the Road Trip Series for Saturday May 2nd, when they travel host “Play and Stay on Clifton Hill: Fun by the Falls!”
