Have you ever felt that being in college is a time your life where you feel like the odds are against you? You are a broke, ramen-eating scavenger who is trying to earn your degree, but you still do not know how the heck to adult. But guess what? You are honesty working so much harder than you know! Being a college kid has so many stigmas – that we just party, drink, and procrastinate – but we are actually being shaped into individuals whose purpose is to pursue our major and be an awesome asset to society. Here are ways that you can lift your spirits about being a college kid!

1. Time management

Who else can say that they handle four to five classes, have a alcoholic beverage, and schedule a nap in all in one day?? …it’s all about time management ;)

2. Making lemons into lemonade

You can either see frozen french fries, noodles, cheese, and bacon as ingredients or you can see loaded fries with a drizzle of yellow cows milk and fried pork strips. Us college kids can be so imaginative with ingredients because let’s be real…when do we ever have a fully stocked kitchen?

3. Negotiations

You have a final paper, project, and test all FOR. ONE. CLASS…. But if you are that one classmate who is a pro negotiator, you can reduce that down to a final paper, group final project, and a take home exam. *drops mic*

4. Money management

We spend $20 on ice coffee every week but will go to different events around campus and get free food – because it’s about balance.

The skills we learn through college are skills we can take into the workplace and our everyday lives post-grad. Give it up for the college kids!
