Imagine this: It’s 6:45 am, and your alarm just sounded. You rise slowly, but surely, and the only thing on your mind is how you’re going to collect a ball of energy for your 8:00 am class. Most would consider the option of getting a cup of coffee or some caffeine to perk themselves up. Yet, most might put aside is the fact that coffee can be bad for us. More than 600 mg of caffeine a day can lead to insomnia, nervousness, restlessness, irritability, a fast heartbeat, and sometimes muscle tremors. If you think about it, we’re causing more harm to our bodies than actually helping them. So now we’re left wondering, what can help me stay alert when we’ve missed out on more sleep than we should’ve or when we’re simply just not feeling it?

In a lot of instances, tea can be one of the best substitutes for caffeine–along with the right motivation. Something I like to incorporate into my daily routine is a cup of tea and a “hustle-hard” type  playlist. That way, my body and mind can be able withstand the grind all day. Now, for those that don’t usually drink tea or have a hard time playing that “one song” that hypes you up in the morning, here’s a list of  tea and trap music to help put the pep in your step when you can’t do it alone.

Green tea is full of important nutrients, making it way much more than “tea.” While being a great source of energy, it can improve your brain functions. While it does contain some caffeine, it doesn’t contain as much as coffee. Sipping on this drink while listening to Megan Thee Stallion will definitely make you feel like the “Hot girl” you are.

Earl Gray x Bounce out with That (YBN Nahmir)

Earl Grey tea is great for hydration, digestion, heart health, and weight loss. It’s also an antioxidant and antidepressant. While increasing immune function, it gives you enough energy to battle off the day along with YBN Nahmir’s hype beat and energetic flow.

Mornings are definitely what you make them– so why not start them off right with some hard verses and some hot tea? Remember that you don’t always have to be a morning person to feel good throughout the day, it just takes the right motivation and energy to make you feel like you’re on top of the world.
