Maybelline’s College Tour Comes to Howard

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Howard chapter.

Next stop, Howard University! Maybelline brings its Press Play College Tour to Mecca, giving students free goodies and spreading mental health awareness.

On Oct. 11 and 12, Maybelline set up camp in front of Blackburn to give out free full-sized products to students and spread awareness and resources about depression and anxiety through their Brave Together campaign. Some products included Maybelline’s Fit-Me Foundation, Sky High Mascara, and Lifter Gloss Lip Gloss.

Students lined up to get one of two services: Full face or Fast Pass services. Full Face allowed you to get four products, ranging from eyes and lips, with a chance to win a Fit-Me Foundation if you spun a wheel and landed on your correct color match.

Students were also given QR codes, directing them to Maybelline’s Brave Together campaign. According to Maybelline’s website, “Our global initiative for anxiety and depression offers the support tools to navigate what you’re feeling in partnership with our community of mental health experts.”
