Pull out your uggs and grab a pumpkin spice latte, fall is officially here! Just because it’s getting cold, it doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. I’ve curated a list of all upcoming fall events around the DC area, so you can enjoy the season in style and on a college student budget. Consider this to be your one-stop-shop for all things fall-fun around the Washington, DC area! 

  1. International City Food Festival – Dia de Los Muertos Food & Film in the Park (Oct. 15) 

Price: free

Celebrate and learn about Dia de Los Muertos, a holiday celebrated by many Mexican/Latin American cultures. The event is the third day of the International City Food Festival, but is free for all to attend. Come and enjoy performances, cultural activities, and a Dia de Los Muertos market!   1. Halloween Hunt Experience @ Mansion on O st. (Oct. 6-31)

Price: $35 per person

Enjoy a spooky scavenger hunt at the O st Mansion & Museum, where you and your friends can explore over 100 rooms and 70 secret doors! The Halloween Hunt experience will be open all October long, but reserve your spot before it’s too late.   1. Rock the Park DC @ Franklin Park (Oct. 8-9)

Price: Free 

If you’re a music fan, this event is for you! Enjoy a free dance party in the park  featuring a variety of performances from DJs’ in all music genres.   1. National Gallery Nights – Trick or Treat (Oct. 13) 

Price: Free 

For all my art lovers, enjoy an art-inspired night of Halloween themed fun! From artsy costumes to a live score of a film screening, the National Gallery of Art opens its doors for a spooky, late-night treat.   1. Boo at the Zoo (Oct. 28-30) 

Price: $35
