Ladies, I know we’re all ready for a change in fashion trends. Summer was cute, full of glitter and neon, but it’s time for fall to take over. Grab your knee high boots and matching scarves because this fall we are about to bring the heat this autumn season. This year’s fall trends are unlike any other, branching off from the typical orange, burgundy, and olive hues and going for a bolder look. Here is our 2019 fall style guide, get your paper and pen because we are about to give everyone a lesson in fashion.

  1. Jewel Tones

Jewel tone clothing, like emerald, amber, and sapphire, are the next big thing in fashion. Beyonce and Rihanna have been spotted wearing these gorgeous colors on red carpets and on any typical day. To make jewel tone clothing even better try pairing them with another up and coming trend: satin. Satin and jewel tones are some of the biggest fashion trends this year, so don’t be afraid to go for a stylish and flirty look this fall.

  1. 90’s-inspired makeup

The 90’s are back in style, but did they ever leave? Fall dark lip liner and natural eyebrows are definitely in style. Paying homage to icons like Aaliyah and Naomi, the 90’s makeup trend has been revolutionized by social media influencers and MUA’s. In 2019, we as black women are not only able to recreate these looks but also add our own personal flair thanks to inclusive brands like Fenty Beauty and PAT McGrath.

  1. Small purses

Now this trend may be confusing to some, myself included, but teeny tiny purses and bags have been seen all over the fashion industry. Runway models like Winnie Harlow have been spotted wearing them as well as other popular entertainers. Even though it probably won’t carry a fraction of your stuff, small purses are definitely the accessory you never knew you needed.

  1. Satin

Last, but not least, is the satin trend. This time of year satin is showing up everywhere. Satin dresses, shirts, skirts, everything is just screaming satin. This trend is definitely one that will probably show up again next year, as the fabric is breathable for warm fall days and can be worn with almost everything. Next time you head out to the mall be sure to keep an eye out for satin and all the other fall 2019 fas
