Black Women OWN the Conversation

Oprah has done it again! We love an entrepreneurial go getter, especially when she’s a black woman making sure other black women feel seen and heard. Black Women OWN the conversation is an hour long show that centers around conversations pertinent black women.

“This special presentation from OWN and Ozy tackles issues and concerns relevant to black women today with candid and in-depth discussions that create real dialogue and change,” said Tina Perry, President, OWN.

This mini-series has been described as the type of conversation you’d have with girlfriends over a nice glass of wine when you’re trying to keep it REALLY real. The show is moderated by Carlos Watson and includes appearances by celebrities, activists, and professionals alike as they are surrounded by an audience of black women.

Can you say amazing?

The first episode aired on Oprah’s OWN television network (no pun intended…okay maybe a little) on August 24th, 2019. This four-part series has covered everything from beauty, love, motherhood, and more! This show’s perspective is much needed as there is a lot of change occurring in our country and it is important to hear how these changes affect everyone. This show aims to include the black woman’s voice in the conversation and I couldn’t be more excited for everyone to watch it!

But of course, the most important question is: will there be a second season?

The answer to that is I don’t know! Since this was a four part special, it seems that it may be over. However, given the great feedback the series has received, one can hope that we get more of this show that makes us black women feel seen.

With that, go get into some cozies, grab a warm drink, and tune into this one of a kind series by clicking here!
