The Holiday season is just around the corner and for as long as I can remember, doing some version of the classic “Secret Santa” tradition has been one of my favorite things.

I find the website “Draw Names” to be very easy and have shared it with all my new Holy Cross friends.

https://www.drawnames.com/?Rf=G2022&gclid=Cj0KCQiA1NebBhDDARIsAANiDD1MV1yQCvSAMUCqPXclVFqQYLZl36XCcQLewJPnEeb2WJJHxnsZ9qYaArYDEALw_wcB

If you are organizing through Draw Names, all you have to do is type in all of the names of the people included in the group. (There’s even an option to make sure certain people don’t get each other)

Once you send out the invitations, you can make wishlists for things you’d like. Groups can decide what the budget will be like, and you can browse through endless possibilities for gift ideas.

Even though I’m a huge fan of this website, I think anyone should try setting up a gift exchange with their friends or family. Especially with big groups, being assigned one person to give a personal gift to can make the holidays less stressful.

My favorite gift ideas that I think almost anyone would love:

Fuzzy Socks

Everyone could use another pair of warm fuzzy socks for the winter.

Tote bag

Tote bags are fun because you can decorate them or find one already decorated.

Plants

Whether real or fake, everyone loves a cute plant.

Chapstick

I am a firm believer that you can never have too much chapstick.

Claw clips

There are so many styles of claw clips now that you can find one for anyone.

Mug

Mugs are a great gift because you can gift them with a hot cocoa mix or coffee.

Candy

No one says no to their favorite candy.

Gift cards

You can’t go wrong with a gift card as long as you personalize it to their favorite store.

Perfume

A fun holiday perfume is a great gift for anyone.

Jewelry

Whether it’s a beaded bracelet or a cute necklace, everyone loves new pieces of jewelry to add to their collection.

I hope this guide was helpful and inspires you to start a Secret Santa with people you love this holiday season.
