Whether you’re carving pumpkins with your family, baking halloween cookies with your friends, or throwing a Halloween bash, music that fits the mood is a necessity. Below are some of my favorite songs that fit the halloween vibe.

Thriller- Michael Jackson

This song should be on every halloween playlist no questions asked, it’s a classic which is played at every halloween event.

Spooky, Scary Skeletons- Andrew Gold

Most will probably recognize this as a tik tok song it was released long before tik tok was created. It’s a fun song that gives all the halloween vibes.

Monster Mash- Bobby Pickett, The Crypt-Kickers

If you did not dance to this song at your elementary school halloween party, where were you? This was another classic that would be blasted on the radios all October.

Ghostbusters- Ray Parker Jr.

Not only is this the perfect Halloween song, it’s the perfect Halloween movie too. It’s another fun song to dance to and to have at your halloween party.

Somebody’s Watching Me- Rockwell

Another song that will probably be recognized as a tik tok, yet it also came out about 40 years ago. This song has a darker feel to it that makes it perfect for the season.

Calling All the Monsters- China Anne McClain

Hopefully all college students know this song which was featured in the Disney show A.N.T Farm. It is featured on all the halloween episodes and is an upbeat, fun song to dance to at any halloween events.

Season Of The Witch- Lana Del Ray

This slower, witchy song gives a dark and creepy vibe that makes you feel like you’re out on a dark October night.

I Put a Spell On You- Freak On a Leash

This Halloween song is by far my favorite. Not only is it fun and upbeat, but it is sung by some amazing women in arguably the best Halloween movie ever made. The song was released long before Hocus Pocus was, but the movie added a spin that brought it to listeners’ attention.
