Tweets From Kamala Harris That I Would Get Tattooed On My Body

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Holy Cross chapter.

As we all know, Kamala Harris made history this election day as the first ever female Vice President of the United States, and it’s about time we had a woman in the White House! Let’s not forget she represents both the Asian and Black communities too. If you’ve ever taken a peek at her Twitter feed, you’ll see it’s filled with strong messages inspiring us to take action against the injustices in our country and reminding women of all ethnicities and races that they have the power to be somebody. So, to honor the queen herself, I figured I would share some of my favorite tweets from her account that I would probably get tattooed somewhere on my body.

“While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last – because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.”

“This is our time. Let’s use our vote, our power, to choose the America we can be – and the future of our children and grandchildren deserve.”

“When our children and grandchildren ask us what we did in this moment in time, we won’t tell them just how we felt – we will tell them what we did.”

“Rain or shine, democracy waits for no one.”

“There is nothing more powerful than a determined group of women marching, protesting, and voting.”

“Together we can build a community that is strong and decent, just and kind – one in which we can all see ourselves.”

“When women vote, we win.”

“I’ve had many titles throughout my career, but Momala will always be the one that means the most to me.”
