Autumn is objectively the best season. The weather is amazing, the food is incredible, and there
is always an excuse to stay in and watch a movie. As the trees turn colors and the school year
begins, a certain excitement exists in the air. This incredible season deserves an equally amazing
soundtrack, so I thought I would share my favorites at the moment. I am no musical expert but I
love making playlists based on specific occasions or seasons, and this fall is no exception. Some
of the songs on this list I have been listening to for years, and others were recently tik tok
discoveries. Regardless, I encourage you to listen to all these songs and discover new artists and
create your own soundtrack for the season!

Here are my top 15 songs for this fall:

1.) Like Real People Do by Hozier
Hozier should narrate my life. Cherry Wine and Wasteland, Baby! are some of
my other favorites.

2.) Sedona by Houndmouth
A band I am relatively unfamiliar with but this song is so wholesome. Upbeat and
easy to sing along with.

3.) Stick Season by Noah Kahan
Took tik tok by storm! This song is perfect to scream in the car with the windows
down. Reminds me of Vermont and apple cider.

4.) Campus by Vampire Weekend
Back to school core. Upbeat song that feels fitting to listen to on my walk to class.

5.) Cleopatra by The Lumineers
“Damn your wife, I’d be your mistress just to have you around” Hits you right in
the heart. This song is a classic along with Sleep On The Floor.

6.) Dark Red by Steve Lacy
This song just has the correct vibes for the season. A little edgy but still indie pop.
Bad Habit could also be on this list.

7.) Dreams by Fleetwood Mac

Beautiful for any season but is the perfect song for the wind blowing and leaves
falling. Main character energy.

8.) Amoeba by Clairo
This song took a while to grow on me but I am now a huge fan. It is more of an
“upbeat indie” song if that is not too much of an oxymoron.

9.) Alrighty Aphrodite by Peach Pit
Love the music of this song. Cool vibes and the band is so talented. Shampoo
Bottle was also in the running for this list.

10.) Funeral by Phoebe Bridgers
This whole list could be Phoebe. I love this woman and every song she sings
makes me cry in the best way. Listen to Scott Street and Halloween if you have not already.

11.) Stella Brown by Jelani Aryeh
Very upbeat song that makes me smile. Not too familiar with their other music
but I’m definitely interested in it.

12.) Stranger by Mt Joy
My roommate showed me this song last year and it reminds me of her <3

13.) Crush by Ethel Cain
Just take a look at the album cover.

14.) Moves by Suki Waterhouse
Good vibes; another speeding down the highway with the windows down type of
song.

15.) Love You for A Long Time by Maggie Rogers
Maggie is such a wholesome individual with such a unique sound. Light On is
another classic that never fails to make me smile.
