Looking for a Job on Campus? Look no further!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Holy Cross chapter.

“How did you get that job?” I’ve heard this question countless times throughout the year. It can be pretty hard to find jobs on campus, especially if you do not look at the right time. Still, I promise they are there for you! I highly recommend getting a job, even if you only work a few hours a week. That extra money can go a long way! I also have loved the people I have met from my jobs here. These are some jobs you can find here at Holy Cross!

  1. Admissions

I have worked in admissions throughout this year, and I absolutely love it! You can work as a Greeter or Tour Guide, and both are so fun. I personally work as a greeter. I talk with prospective students and families before they go on their tour of Holy Cross. It is super easy and enjoyable. There are also opportunities to work at Open Houses and Student Zoom Panels.

  1. The Jo

I have been eyeing this job since freshman year, and was so ready to apply when the time came. I love my job at the Jo, and it is super fun to greet people as they walk in or leave. You see so many friends (and can also get schoolwork done while you work). You can work at the welcome desk, upstairs, or at the Loyola gym. I’ve met so many great coworkers from this job as well, so I highly recommend applying!

  1. Dining Services

I know this may sound bad, and I’ve never worked in dining services myself, but I feel like some of the positions aren’t as bad as I’ve Kimball is. Working at the O’Connor Cafe in the PAC or at Starbucks seems like it could be fun, so I’d recommend asking friends who work there about how it is, and consider applying!

  1. Library

There are so many job opportunities working at the front desk of the libraries, either Dinand, Science, or Music. They all seem like such chill and quiet jobs where you can probably get work done too!

  1. Lifeguarding

If lifeguarding is your summer job, this is the perfect campus job for you! I have a few friends that are lifeguards in the Luth, and they enjoy it! It’s super chill, and you are able to get work done, and also do small tasks for maintaining the pool.
