I Tried The New Sol de Janeiro Delícia Drench Body Butter and Here is What I Thought

Spoiler Alert: I loved it!

I have always loved the beachy, bright, and fun aesthetic of Sol de Janeiro – as someone who has always lived by the bright beach color palette – as well as the scent of the products. I would best describe all the scents as a sweet yet seductive, warm vanilla, summer-y smell. I have always loved their scents, but the only reason I had not bought any body butter or perfume yet was because I already owned so many other products; I could not see myself spending so much when I already owned more body lotions than I needed. However, when I heard my chapter of HerCampus was receiving samples of Sol de Janeiro’s new Delícia Drench Body Butter, Cheirosa 59, I was so excited to try their product finally.

After setting up, I took one of the samples and tried it right then and there. The scent was amazing and I was obsessed with it before I even put it on. Once I put the cream on my hands, I was encapsulated by the scent. It never wore off even after washing my hands a few times. It also genuinely locked in the moisture for me. I get extremely dry skin in the winter, especially living in the dry dorm rooms and I am constantly moisturizing because of it. The Delícia Drench Body Butter kept my hands moisturized all day long.

After only using the body butter for one day, I understand the cult following behind Sol de Janeiro products, because now I too have become obsessed. I want to always wear this scent, go to the closest Sephora, and buy every product available because I have fallen in love with the new Sol de Janeiro Delícia Drench body butter.
