I know that lounging around and getting lost in a book is NOT something that fits into the college lifestyle, BUT winter break is just around the corner. What I suggest: order one of these books now and save it for when you have some free time on a cold winter night, possibly even next to a fire!

Emily Henry has been absolutely killing the game, publishing her first book in 2016, and publishing six books since then, with her seventh one planned to release in 2022! Her books fit into the young adult fiction category and have been described as, “stories about love and family for both teens and adults.” HOWEVER her books are SO much more. They are spicy, hot, sexy, witty, heartfelt and you will NOT be able to put one down once you start.

I read two of her books over the summer during beach vacations, and let’s just say, at times there were tears on the beach… and other times I was having to go in the water to cool off after reading a feverish scene. It probably only took me about 3-5 days to read each of these books, start to finish. You truly just can NOT put them down.

1. people we meet on vacation

While on a walk down the beach during my trip. I passed another woman sitting in her chair, fully invested in this book. I immediately stopped and told her that I was in the middle of the same book. She and I went on to have a 15 minute conversation about it, and similar reads by both Emily Henry and other authors! All I will give you is: “Two best friends. Ten summer trips. One last chance to fall in love.”

2. Beach Read

Although I didn’t see anyone else reading this book on the beach, it is not to say that it’s not just as good. This book was honestly even spicier than People We Meet on Vacation, sometimes leaving me in my beach chair grinning, as my family asking what the hell was wrong with me. I will leave you with: “A romance writer who no longer believes in love and a literary writer stuck in a rut engage in a summer-long challenge that may just upend everything they believe about happily ever afters.”

3. SOON TO COME – BOOK LOVERS

Obviously I don’t have a story about this book since it isn’t going to be published until 2022, but I can tell you that I am super excited for it. As a sneak peek, here is the blurb provided on her website: “A-by-the-book literary agent must decide if happily ever after is worth changing her whole life for in this insightful, delightful new novel from the #1 New York Times Bestselling author or Beach Read and People We Meet on Vacation
