Cold Take: Plain Cold Brew is Good

I have always been a huge fan of iced coffee. The New England blood in me allows me to enjoy an iced coffee even when it is below freezing on a winter day on the hill. I am all for fancy Starbucks lattes and coffees on occasion. However, I believe there is nothing better than a glass of plain cold brew to start your day. With add-ins of lattes and sweeteners, the flavor of coffee that I love does not always come through.

I figured I would share my favorite brands of cold brew so that anyone who wants to take my advice can try it.

Grocery Store Cold Brew:

  1. Stōk Un-Sweet Black Cold Brew Coffee
  2. Premier Protein Coffee Shakes (not a cold brew but worthy of this list)
  3. Starbucks Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate (Just add water)
  4. Trader Joe’s Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate (Just add water)

If I have decided not to pour a cup of iced coffee at home and I am still looking for cold brew, the following five is a ranked list of my favorite coffee spots around Worcester.

Favorite places to buy a cup of cold brew in Worcester:

  1. Fuel America Coffeehouse
  2. Dunkin’
  3. Starbucks
  4. InHouse Coffee
  5. Cool Beans (underrated choice)

If you are looking for a change in your coffee-drinking habits, I hope you can find a version you like in one of these recommendations!
