Even though I’m writing this the day after Halloween, my Christmas playlist has been on repeat all day. As the leaves are almost all gone, and a crispness fills the air, my heart is filled with excitement for the holiday season. Even though many people find it unusual or even obnoxious to start celebrating so early, for me it’s a tradition that brings me immense joy.

One of the most significant advantages of celebrating the holiday season early is the prolonged happiness it brings me. The more time I have to revel in the warm, cozy atmosphere of the holidays, the better. Whether it’s decorating the Christmas tree, baking cookies, or watching classic holiday movies these traditions have a very special place in my heart. (Not to mention the release of the holiday drinks at Starbucks)

The holiday season, no matter what you celebrate, is also a time for giving and spreading kindness. From donating to charities to performing random acts of kindness, starting early provides the opportunity to carry out more acts of love and compassion. As autumn turns to winter, the days grow shorter and darker. As school gets harder and people grow bitter, the holidays can provide a touch of sparkle and warmth to this often gloomy season. From trying out new recipes to finding new ways to express love and gratitude, the joy that builds with each passing day makes this season worthwhile.

Overall, celebrating the holidays early is a practice filled with numerous benefits. From relieving stress to spreading kindness, there are countless reasons to embrace the holiday spirit ahead of time. So why wait? Let the magic warm your heart and brighten your days. So don’t let those Grinches rain on your parade. Get out your holiday playlists and embrace what brings you joy!
