So whether you’re going on vacation, hanging around campus or going home, these spring break must-reads will keep you entertained. Here are a few that I have read myself:

1. The Wake Trilogy by Lisa McMann

This page-turner centers on 17-year old Janie Hannagan’s involuntary power which plunges her into other people’s dreams. It’s an ability she has always been able to keep secret. Then she meets Cabel and they are about to learn how dark Janie’s future as a “dream catcher” is.

2. An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

One of John Green’s many award winning best-sellers, this novel follows the heartbroken Collin Singleton, an almost-genius 17-year old boy who has only ever dated Katherines (19 in total). The story follows Colin and his best friend on their summer-before-college road trip. Their adventures add up to unexpected conclusions about reinventing oneself.

3. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

Set over the course of one school year in 1986, this is the story of two star-crossed misfits who know that love doesn’t usually last, but they’re bold and desperate enough to try. You will fall in love with this smart, romantic, page-turner.

And a few that I haven’t read yet, but they’re on my list:

The Emperor’s Children by Claire Messud

The American Heiress by Daisy Goodwin

I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo

The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks

Winter’s Tale by Mark Helprin
