Seventeen Magazine’s Meaghan O’Connor Comes to Hofstra

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

Does landing your dream job straight out of college sound too good to be true? Meaghan O’Connor made it happen–and you can too!

Admit it…as magazine and media mavens, we all have dreams of working and living in the big city. As the saying goes, “if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere”.

But how many people actually have the guts to move to NYC on a whim and make it happen?

Meaghan O’Connor does! After graduating from the University of Michigan last May (Spring 2013), she picked up and moved to NYC without a job prospect or apartment in sight. After only a few weeks, through sheer determination,  she landed her dream job at Seventeen Magazine as Executive Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief.

Hofstra collegiettes can hear the success story for themselves as Meaghan visits Hofstra this Sunday, March 30th.

Ed2010 Hosftra will host Meaghan for a “Land Your Dream Job” panel. Come meet Meaghan, pick her breain and be inspired.

It all happens Sunday March 30th at 2 pm in The Student Center, Plaza Room West.
