5 Ways to Feel like a Natural Goddess

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

Revamping your everyday routine with natural products and remedies can truly improve your overall well being and leave you feeling like a glowing natural goddess. Here are some ways to incorporate natural remedies into your schedule!

1. Use Coconut Oil for EVERYTHING

Coconut oil is not only something you can cook with in the kitchen, it’s something you can utilize in multiple ways within your beauty routine. Coconut oil is an amazing natural moisturizer for your body AND face! It is good for both dry and oily skin. Oily skin babes don’t fret- the moisturizing properties of the oil counteract the oils your face produces, leaving you looking more matte than before. You can also use coconut oil as a hair mask. Be sure to purchase 100 percent extra-virgin coconut oil to avoid perfumes and other icky chemicals. Find some here!

2. Diffuse Essential Oils

Diffusing oils into your room is an amazing remedy for stress and leaves your space smelling like heaven. Different oils accommodate different needs. There are oils that will help relieve stress, some that can help you focus, others that will help you sleep, and some that can help boost your energy. (the list of benefits goes on!) Using a diffuser while you study, workout or sleep is a great way to incorporate natural remedies into your everyday routine. Find diffusers and oils here!

3. Apply Essential Oils

Essential oils have many uses besides diffusing. You can apply essential oils topically to combat different issues! For example, applying peppermint oil to your temples can help with headaches and applying it to your lower back and abdomen can help with period cramps. There are also oils that soothe tight muscles, stomach aches, and anxiety. Many companies sell essential oils in rollerballs so you can easily apply them to your skin. Find roller balls here!

4. Do Yoga Twice a Week (or more!)

Yoga is an excellent way to connect your body and your mind. Intense workouts and runs are super healthy for you, but we all need to incorporate some restorative exercise into our routines. Yoga, while challenging, is nourishing and extremely relaxing. It utilizes natural elements such as breathing and the available space around you. Taking a step down from the beast mode mentality and encouraging natural ability can help keep you grounded and develop a healthy relationship with your wants and needs! 5. Go Outside

There’s nothing more natural than nature. Taking a long walk outside with your dog, or with friends, and maybe even alone can really help clear your mind. Getting fresh air is extremely healthy for your body. Take a bike ride down to the bay in your town, go hiking, go for a run early in the morning, make the effort to go outside and watch the sun rise or set (or both!). Incorporating time outside into your every day or weekly routine will help you reset mentally and physically.

Try out these ways to make your everyday routine more natural! If you combine these tricks with a healthy diet and exercise, you’ll be a radiating nature queen in no time.
