It’s been two weeks since the cast of Euphoria graced our screens in the controversial season two finale, and we at Her Campus are still grieving the loss of our show until the rumored season 3 of 2024. Though 2024 seems light-years away, it gives the perfect amount of time to find other shows to help fill the void Euphoria has left in our minds. Here are five shows with Euphoria-like vibes you can watch instead.

Cruel Summer

Cruel Summer follows two teenagers, outcast Jeanette Turner and popular girl, Kate Wallis, on the same day over three years in the 1990s. Kate goes missing and Jeanette seemingly takes over her life, but things fall apart when Kate is found alive and believes that Jeanette saw her in captivity. The series has the same thrilling aspects of Euphoria, and the feud between the two girls is reminiscent of Maddy and Cassie’s. The first season, which premiered in 2021, is available to stream on Hulu.

Derry Girls

Derry Girls follows five friends in the 1990s during the Troubles, a period of political unrest in Northern Ireland. Much like the characters of Euphoria, the Derry Girls are imperfect and often find themselves in crazy situations. The British series premiered in 2018, and the third and final season is set to premiere later this year. It is available to stream on Netflix.

The Sex Lives of College Girls

If you’re looking for another show on HBO Max, this one is for you. The Sex Lives of College Girls follows the lives of four freshmen roommates from different backgrounds while attending a prestigious university. It touches on topics that many students experience, and while it takes more of a comedic approach than Euphoria, it still feels authentic. The series premiered in 2021 and was renewed for a second season.

Skins

Before Euphoria touched on controversial teen experiences, Skins did. The British series consists of an ensemble cast and features topics like substance abuse, teen sexuality and mental illness. The series ran for seven seasons from 2007 to 2013. It’s available to stream on Hulu.

HBO
Gossip Girl (2007)

A classic among teens, Gossip Girl never shies away from a scandal. The series features wealthy teenagers from Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The characters are comparable to those from Euphoria, and each has their own high school drama involving drugs, love triangles and dysfunctional families. The series ran from 2007 to 2012 and is available to stream on HBO Max, along with its reboot.

Though nothing truly compares to Euphoria and all that it is; we hope these shows have the ability to fill the void that it left behind. Fingers crossed that season three comes fast!
