It’s Crunch Time

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at High Point chapter.

The day has come– final exams are beginning in a matter of hours. If you are one of the lucky ones, you have the weekend to prepare yourself. But for the rest of us poor, unfortunate souls, it’s time to show what we know. Here are some hints and ideas to stay sane during crunch time.

Put It On Ice
I personally am an iced coffee addict. Instead of wasting all your Magic Meals at Starbucks, go to the Cafe and fill a cup with ice, add coffee, and sip your way to sanity again. And for those who can’t stand the thought of trekking to Slane (all you lazy people in the UC, I’m lookin’ at you) there are Keurig coffee machines in the Farmers Market all night long to fuel the addiction.

Stake Your Claim
The library isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Find yourself getting more distracted than productive in Smith or the UC library? The Communications building offers nice little hideaways. Or sit in the comfy chairs at the Bakery, they even have music going for those of you who hate silence! Find a spot that works for you and keep going back.

Keep it Comfy
I give everyone full permission to live in leggings these next couple of days. If you’re going to fall asleep while studying, might as well be comfortable.

Good luck!!! HCXO

Christina Buttafuoco is a sophomore Communications-Journalism Major with a minor in English Writing at High Point University. She is a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, a lover of musicals, and an avid viewer of the Food Network. Christina grew up on Long Island, NY and headed down south to North Carolina during those awkward middle school years. Before she moved, her best friend ripped out pages from a fashion magazine and told her not to forget what fashion was. She didn't. Now Christina hopes to be an editor for one of those magazines one day. For now, she is so excited to bring Her Campus to HPU.
