Looking For a Café With a Big Heart? Hima Organic Café Might Be For You

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Helsinki chapter.

For our environmental week, we decided to check out this organic café just a stone’s throw from campus to see what it had to offer.

Hima is actually more than just a coffee shop: in addition to its Organic Café it also hosts a yoga studio with classes held every day.

The café itself also caters for special dietary needs. Gluten-free products are available whenever possible and the delicious raw cakes suit anyone allergic to milk or wheat or simply wishing to cut down on excess white sugar. All of Hima‘s products are also free of additives. What makes the place special, however, is its unique atmosphere: the café is cozy with comfortable-looking sofas, a book shelf and relaxing music playing in the background.

The menu includes both savoury and sweet treats. We tried a Hello I’m Yellow smoothie with mango, pineapple, apricot and organic orange juice and a lemon raw cake. Both were delicious!

So what better way to treat both yourself and the environment than by dropping by at this organic café that feels like a welcoming living room.

Oh, and one last tip: remember to remove your shoes upon entering!
