How To Do an Everyday Natural and Glowy Make-Up Look

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Helsinki chapter.

I was recently at an event where I wanted my makeup to be subtle and sophisticated, yet a little more than I would do on a regular day. I will now be recreating this look for you, just follow these simple steps:

1. I wanted the skin to look quite fresh, so I used a creamy concealer only on the red areas of my face, like my cheeks, chin, and around my nose. I also covered my under eyes with it. When you have a concealer that matches your skin tone as close as possible, this will be quite easy to do.

2. Lightly dust some mineral powder foundation all over your face to hold everything in place. To give your face a warm glow, put bronzer on by painting a number 3 on both sides of your face. Start from the top of you forehead in the middle, swipe down underneath your cheekbone, and from there all the way down to your jawline and chin.

3. Then add a warm blush on the apples of your cheeks.

4. To finish off the skin, gently dust highlighter on the high point of your cheeks.

5. Instead of an eye shadow, I used the same bronzer and blush I used on my skin. First, apply the highlighter on your lids. Blend the color all the way up to your brow bone, so that the color softens upwards, and is the strongest on your eye lids.

6. Next, take a small brush and your bronzer, and paint a thick line on your eyes. Take the line slightly upwards for a subtle cat eye effect.

7. For the lips I used a peachy nude lipstick with a glossy finish. If the lipstick you use is very matte, you can put lip gloss on top of it (unless you want your lips to be matte, of course). The last step is to just add mascara if you want to. You can use a brown one for a more natural feel.

That’s it! Super simple.
