If you could change one thing about your past, what would it be? Or would you not change anything at all?

If I could change something in my past it would be to never stop baton twirling. I was a competitive baton twirler for thirteen years, and I stopped when I was a junior in high school. I wish I would have stuck with it and twirled in college. That has always been a huge regret.

What has been your best college experience?

I was a transfer student from a community college in California. Coming University of Hawaii at Manoa has been the best experience in itself. If I could pick one thing in college it would be joining AGD. I have met some of my best friends, and made connections that I know will last a lifetime.

Do you see the importance in a girl squad? What is it? Why?

Because I was an athlete for the majority of my childhood, I never had the opportunities to really connect with people. Being in college I have made friends with some of the fiercest chicks out there. I think girl squads are super important, because girls are just so much more fun to hang out with and can really bring you out of your blues. Guys come and go; girl squads are forever.

What are you most excited for in your future?

I am most excited to have my career. I would like to get my masters in applied behavior analysis. I can’t wait to start working with children with autism and creating individualized plans for them. Also, to have enough money to not worry about money on a weekly basis.

Any advice to your fellow girls out there about life, love or happiness?

My motto in life is “you never get a second chance to make a first impression.” Always present yourself well because you never know who is watching you whether it’s a future employer, a significant other, or just someone who is looking up to you. This motto has helped me strive for my personal best, and makes me who I am today.
