Yes. I am aware that it is March. However, soon it will be spring break (hooray!) and then next thing you know it will be finals (stress!). The end of spring semester is approaching faster than we would like it to, which means it’s time to think about summer plans. And if those plans involve making some extra cash, here are eight ways to do just that.

1. Nanny

Do you like kids? Parents need reliable care and entertainment for their children over the summer. Having a CPR certification is a plus as well!

2. Pet Sitter

Are furry, four-legged friends more your type? Watch, feed, and walk pets while their owner is away on vacation.

3. House Sitter

This can last for a weekend or a couple of weeks. Duties may include watering plants, checking for mail, pet sitting, and light cleaning.

4. Tutor

Students need tutors for all kinds of subjects from English to Algebra.

5. College Prep Advisor

SAT/ACT prep, essay critiquing, and overall insight into what the college application process is like is a booming business.

6. Camp Counselor

Making crafts, leading games, and singing endless camp songs doesn’t sound like too bad of a gig.

7. Food Service

I mean, you’ve had so many Starbucks drinks in your life so how hard could it be to make one?

8. Internship

While paid internships are sometimes few and far between, gaining work experience towards your dream career wouldn’t hurt in the long run.

Happy summer job hunting season and good luck!
