This time last year, we weren’t quite yet in quarantine. We lived our lives mask-free without group maximums or no dine-in options at restaurants. We lived each day not knowing what was coming, how our lives were about to change, or how lucky we were to have general freedom. One year later, however, and we are all very aware of the many small things we took for granted. It’s easy to get upset about what we missed out on. But instead of getting upset, it is important to change our perspective and be grateful for what we have rather than what we have lost. As February is known for celebrating love on Valentine’s day, I think this would be a good time to spread the love throughout the entire month and celebrate 28 days of gratitude. Every day, there is a new thing to pay special attention to and be grateful for. Transforming into a positive mindset will surely help with staying happy and positive in a difficult time like COVID.
