How are you involved on campus at Haverford?
I play on the field hockey team, and I have also participated in several shows with MusiCOOL, Haverford’s musical theater group.
Â
What is your proudest moment at Haverford so far?
My freshman year, in our last regular season field hockey game, we had to beat McDaniel College in order to advance to the Centennial Conference playoffs. In the final minute, with the score tied 2-2, we scored to win the game, 3-2. It was the first time Haverford field hockey had made it to the playoffs in program history. It was such an exciting game, and I was so proud to be a part of that historic moment.
Â
Aside from sports, what are your biggest passions?
I love Broadway and musical theater. I’ve been performing in local theaters since I was 9 years old, and I enjoy going to shows too!
Â
What is your favorite pump-up song?
Jay-Z ft. Rutgers Symphony Orchestra – “Run This Town (Orchestral Remix).” It’s awesome.
Â
Who is your sports idol?
Mia Hamm. For me (along with millions of other young girls), the 1999 Women’s World Cup had a huge impact on my life. I think it was that day and watching that game that made me realize why I play sports. She’s a female athlete legend, and an amazing soccer player.
Â
Do you have any superstitions or rituals before games?
Every game, during the National Anthem, I close my eyes visualize myself out on the field and what I want to do for that particular game. It’s kind of cheesy, but I like to think that it works!
Â
What do you hope to do after graduation?
I would love to become a teacher and a coach.
Â
We heard you are an amazing singer… what is your favorite song to sing in the shower?
I’d have to say it’s a tie between “On My Own” from Les Misérables and “Defying Gravity” from Wicked.
