HC Field Hockey Team Hosting Silent Auction

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Haverford chapter.

This Saturday, April 6th, the Haverford College Field Hockey team will be hosting a Silent Auction! The team is fundraising to pay off their trip to Vancouver this past August and to begin planning for future trips abroad. Their trip to Vancouver was a huge success and they are hoping to have the chance to compete with other international teams in the future. The event will take place in the GIAC Multipurpose Room at 5:00pm and everyone is welcome! So come eat, mingle, and bid on some awesome prizes!!

If you are 21 or over the cover charge is $35, but that includes an amazing dinner and open bar! If you are under 21 then the fee is only $25 and includes dinner. Although that might be more than you would normally spend, this is a great chance to support other teams on campus and the price includes catered food and free drinks!

The silent auction will take place during the event with the winners announced at the end of the evening. Some great local businesses have generously donated prizes, so there is definitely something for everyone and every price-range. The prizes range from gift certificates to Saxby’s, Wawa, and Bruegger’s to a week long vacation at an all-inclusive resort in St. Lucia! Even if you aren’t in the market for a vacation, make sure to tell your parents and family friends so that you can bid on their behalf. You definitely do not want to miss out on this opportunity!!
