Meet our Exec Board!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Harvard chapter.

While we here at Her Campus Harvard are still recovering from shopping week and being rattled by all the changes happening ALL OF A SUDDEN, we could not be more excited about the upcoming semester. Between new article ideas, exciting events to cover on campus, and big plans for reaching new reading ship, we can’t wait for all of you to see what we have in store for you!

This week’s Campus Celebs are our Fall 2015 Exec Board members, who will be leading the charge on all these new endeavors. Read on to meet them and learn about their summers!

Campus Correspondents

Catherine (right) spent her summer working at a legal startup called JustiServ and founded by fellow Harvard students. When she wasn’t working or enjoying living in the startup incubator in Palo Alto, California, she was meeting people who had founded similar projects and exploring lots of new restaurants in San Francisco (though we’re most jealous of the fact that she got to try a sushirito…). As one of two Campus Correspondents, Cat helps lead meetings, edit content, and generally organize everything that keeps us moving forward, as well as bringing in new writers every semester!

Zoë was in Munich this summer, working at Random House’s Germany branch. She was an editorial intern, which involved lots of reading (aka heaven) and sitting in on meetings about content, covers, and contracts (accidental alliteration). She spent her weekends happily flooding her friend’s Instagram feeds with Bavarian lakes. As the new co-Campus Correspondent this semester, she is really exciting to be working alongside this team and getting more involved with Her Campus!

Staff Director

Gianna studied abroad in Venice, Italy this summer with the Harvard Summer School Program. While there, she also traveled all over Europe (maintaining a quite excellent snapstory along the way) and mourned the lack of real iced coffee in large cups. As Staff Director, she corrals the whole team and keeps us on our toes/inappropriately laughing in class with emails that have a consistently strong gif game.

Recruitment Director

Aubrey went to Israel this summer to work at the Institute for Counter Terrorism. When she wasn’t working, she spent her free time traveling throughout Israel, Turkey, and Jordan, meeting adorable stray animals, going to the beach, and loving life with her wonderful host family. As Recruitment Director, Aubrey makes sure Her Campus is on the map at Harvard for incoming new students and aspiring writers!

Social Media Director

Yehong studied aborad in Milan and Siena this summer through a Harvard Summer School program focusing on aesthetics, innovation, and cultural economics. She also traveled to Beijing, Paris, and Italy, worked at Crimson Commencement, and wrote an article about startups for the Harvard Political Review. As Social Media Director, Yehong handles our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts!

That’s all for our Exec Board this fall! Writing this article made the fact that summer adventures are over feel even more tragic, but this semester is already shaping up to be a great one despite our early-onset nostalgia! Stay tuned for lots of articles every week, and email harvard@hercampus.com if you’d like to get involved!

Zoë is a senior at Harvard studying English, French, and Classics. She is an active member of the theatre community as one of the few specialized stage makeup designers and artists on campus. When not in the dressing rooms and at the makeup tables of the various stages available at Harvard, she is reading anything she can get her hands on, drinking endless cups of tea, and exploring new restaurants in the Boston area.
