It was the moment that thousands of students had been thinking about for months- maybe even years. At 5pm on March 29, 2012, Harvard released its admission decisions for the Class of 2016 with an all-time low acceptance rate of 5.9 percent.
After receiving 1.9 percent less applications than last year- a mere 34,302 to be exact- Harvard accepted 2,032 students. 772 were admitted early action in December, and 1,260 were admitted regular decision.
With a little more than a month to decide, students must respond to Harvard’s offer by May 1.
Congrats Class of 2016! We hope to see you here next year.
