There is no shortage of romantic comedies. They come in all different styles: serious, ridiculous, touching, crazy, awful, musical, and more. After two decades as a loyal rom com viewer, I’ve settled upon my top ten.

10. Easy A

“Just once I want my life to be like an 80’s movie, preferably one with a really awesome musical number for no apparent reason.”

9. Princess Bride

“There’s a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. It would be a pity to damage yours.”

8. Definitely, Maybe

“You’re right, it is complicated, isn’t it? I mean, you’re in love with April, who used to be in love with Lucas, and then she fell in love with you, but you were in love with Summer, who was always really in love with Hampton, and now that you’re in love with April she’s in love with Kevin… and no one’s in love with you. That’s complicated.”

7. She’s the Man

“End of discussion.”

“Fine. End of relationship.”

6. 40 Year Old Virgin

“You know how when you grab a woman’s breast, it feels like a bag of sand.”

5. My Big Fat Greek Wedding

“Because I came alive when I met you”

4. Little Manhattan

“Love is an ugly, terrible business practiced by fools. It’ll trample your heart and leave you bleeding on the floor. And what does it really get you in the end? Nothing but a few incredible memories that you can’t ever shake. The truth is, there’s gonna be other girls out there. I mean, I hope. But I’m never gonna get another first love. That one is always gonna be her.”

3. Hitch

“No matter when, no matter who, any man has a chance to sweep any woman off her feet. He just needs the right broom.”

2. Stuck in Love

“You make me feel less cynical”

1. When Harry Met Sally

“I’ll have what she’s having”
