5 Ways to Stay Happy and Healthy During Midterm Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Harvard chapter.

Midterm season got you down?  Feeling like winter’s never going to end?  Don’t fret!  Here are some ways to stay positive and healthy during these next few weeks.

1. Sleep!  As much as possible.

2. Go outside!  Go for a walk or run and get some fresh air.  It will energize you, and it’s a healthy way to take a study break when you need one.

3. Tea.  In addition to keeping you warm, tea has tons of health benefits and it’s yummy!  And the caffeine will keep you awake and focused.

4. Make time for friends.  When you’re stressed, sometimes all you need is some support and love from your best friends to keep you feeling positive.

5. Food!  A balanced diet is important for physical and mental health.  But when you want that piece of chocolate cake, go for it.  You deserve it!

If you still feel overwhelmed, remember that spring break (and after that, SUMMER) is coming and there is a light at the end of the tunnel!  And know that you’re not alone.  We’re all suffering through midterms together!  And we’ll all get through them in one piece.
