5 Shows on Netflix to Watch This Valentine’s Weekend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Harvard chapter.

Whether you are single, in a relationship, or just going with the flow, this Valentine’s Weekend, Netflix has all the best movies and shows to binge-watch! Here are 5 must-see Netflix movies and shows for your long weekend:

1. To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You

In the second installment of the To All the Boys trilogy, Lara Jean is presented with a tough decision when the recipient of one of her previous love letters comes back into her life. This adorable high school romance movie will surely satisfy your hankering for a sappy movie this Valentine’s.

2. Marriage Story

This movie does not have the happiest of endings, but it is a realistic and grounding portrayal of how messy and complicated relationships can be. Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver put on moving performances that will have you in tears by the end.

3. Bojack Horseman

The finale of Bojack was just released a few weeks ago. This is one of the best shows that Netflix has ever put out. The characters and humor are dark but relatable on such a profound level. In this last season, Bojack’s mistakes in the past finally catch up with him, and his confrontation with his past is difficult and heartbreaking.

4. Sex Education

Season 2 of Sex Education recently came out. This show has one of the most diverse casts I have ever seen, and its open discussion of sexuality and gender is refreshing and groundbreaking. Moreover, this is one of the funniest shows on Netflix right now.

5. The Crown

If you are a fan of historical fiction, The Crown is perfect for you. The show follows Queen Elizabeth’s reign as she navigates family life under the spotlight and her relationship with Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinbough. Although, her life is so unique in many ways, many of her struggles are so real and relatable.
