5 Easy Ways to Jazz up Your Room

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Harvard chapter.

The first few days of move in are tiring. It’s all about carrying boxes and suitcases into the room, rearranging furniture, trying to get everything sorted, and hoping that it will all find a place that isn’t your bed by the time you finally decide to go to sleep. Once everything’s sorted, it can be hard to find the motivation to get to decorating. As classes pile on, the idea of decorating becomes a distant memory. Well, as midterms come to an end, I propose a few easy decorating ideas to make your room feel like home.

1. Fairy Lights

Of course fairy lights are magical, why else would they be called “fairy” lights?

2. Posters

It’s almost as good as watching the movie.

3. Cool sheets

A pop of color or a cute design can make all the difference.

3. Photos

Nothing says your room like photos of you (and your friends, obvs).

4. Stickers

You can make any design you want, just like that!

5. Throw pillows

They can also double as weapons in your college pillow fights.
