5 Awesome Tutorials for Adobe Creative Cloud

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Harvard chapter.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that shut down all college campuses, Adobe Creative Cloud is now free for all students until at least May 31st! Since we are all stuck at home, this is the perfect time to learn and perfect your graphic design and Photoshop skills! Here are some tutorials and resources that I have found super helpful:

1. How to Make a Minimal Vector Portrait with Adobe Illustrator | Adobe Creative Cloud

This super short Youtube tutorial walks you through the basics of creating vector portraits in Illustrator. Although the tutorial moves pretty quickly, it shows you all the necessary tools to create your own portrait!

2. Learn Illustrator in 5 MINUTES! Beginner Tutorial

If you want a longer and more comprehensive walkthrough of Illustrator and its capabilities, check out this video by Flow Graphics! Keep in mind that this is a beginner tutorial, so it is simply going through the tools and interface of Illustrator. If you already have some experience, this video is probably a little too basic for you!

3. Adobe Photoshop Tutorial : The Basics for Beginners

Here is a beginner tutorial for Adobe Photoshop. This is a much more detailed and much longer video than the tutorials above, but it teaches you all the functions of the interface!

4. How to Creatively Blend Two images in Photoshop | Photoshop Tutorial

This is a more specific tutorial for Photoshop but also super useful! It teaches you how to creatively merge and manipulate two images together.

5. How To Edit Photos Like A PRO | Lightroom Tutorial

This short tutorial is super easy to follow along with and shows you how to edit your photos in Lightroom. Your photos come out looking of much higher quality with only a few simple adjustments!
