  1. Hocus Pocus

I’m pretty sure this movie is on everyone’s must watch list for Halloween. While attempting to gain immorality, these three resurrected witches add just enough witchcraft and comedy to create a fun Halloween movie!

  1. The Addams Family

From Cousin Itt to little Wednesday Addams, this kooky family has been around for years. The Addams are the most popular family of Halloween, and this classic is perfect to watch with your own family. Perhaps your folks can learn some of their magic tricks?

  1. Scream

Scream is another Halloween classic we all know and love. A white ghost faced murderer goes on a killing spree in a small town. As scary as this is, make sure to keep your eyes open for the entire movie. After all you never know when his face might appear (maybe even after the movie’s over). Get ready to scream!

  1. Casper

Yes, Casper is a ghost, but he’s a friendly one! Casper wants to make friends, not scare people. In this family friendly movie, join Casper and his three uncles Fatso, Stretch and Stinkie as they haunt a house being investigated for a hidden treasure.

  1. Halloween

He’s baaacccccckkk. We all remember the famous Michael Myers. There is a series of Halloween movies but in the very first one Mr. Myers escapes from the hospital and returns home with one intention, to kill. If you aren’t scared of a man with a clown mask and a knife then this is the movie for you.

  1. Twitches

Go Twitches, go Twitches! Everyone loves this Disney channel original movie. After being separated twin witches Camryn and Alexandra reunite after their father’s death and use their magic to defeat the Darkness.

  1. Halloweentown

Halloweentown is another Disney Channel Original Movie. Marnie and her siblings are not allowed to celebrate Halloween due to their mother’s orders. However, after her grandmother’s visit Marnie follows her home to Halloweentown realizing that her grandmother is a witch. This is a fantastic, light Halloween movie!

  1. The Haunted Mansion

Eddie Murphy makes this a horror and comedy film in one. He takes his family to a mansion that he is selling, and they end up staying the night due to a storm. Soon he and his family realize the mansion is haunted as they encounter many ghosts and spirits. The Haunted Mansion is a perfect watch for a Halloween movie night with the kids.

  1. Freddy Vs. Jason

Now this one is not so family friendly. Freddy Vs. Jason is a thriller full of blood, masks and knives. This is another Halloween classic and costume favorite. However you probably don’t want to watch this one alone.

  1. Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice is a pretty funny movie, with spooky parts here and there. After a married couple die in a car accident they haunt their house and cannot escape. After their house is bought, the new family attempts to scare the couple away, but instead attract a creepy spirit named Beetlejuice. This is the perfect film for you if you don’t want to be scared out of your seat.
