Tired of Pumpkin Spice? 6 Seasonal Drinks To Try Instead

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hampton U chapter.

Fall is here and I know we all love to go to Starbucks and or Dunkin Donuts to get our pumpkin spice iced coffee or latte. Eventually, pumpkin spice gets old, so here are six drinks I love to order when I’m not feeling pumpkin spice anymore.

French Vanilla Frappuccino (Starbucks)

If you’re a fan of vanilla and hazelnut, this is a good one to try!

-Order a vanilla bean frappuccino (any size you prefer)

-Ask them to add hazelnut syrup (1-2 pumps), whatever you’re feeling, the syrup is sweet so be precaution of that…

-Ask them to top the drink off with caramel drizzle (lightly painting the cup with the caramel is a good idea too)

Iced French Vanilla Cappuccino (Dunkin Donuts)

This one is more simple, if you like the french vanilla flavor this is a good one to try.

-Order an Iced French Vanilla Cappuccino (any size you prefer)

Salted Caramel Mocha (Starbucks)

This one always gives me fall vibes because it has a salty and sweet sensation.

-Order a Salted Caramel Mocha (any size you prefer)

-This can be iced too!

Iced Pumpkin Coffee (Dunkin Donuts)

I know this one is kind of the one we’re trying to avoid, but this one is so seasonal and good. But… we can add a few twists to this one and make it better.

-Order an Iced Pumpkin Coffee (any size you prefer)

-Ask them to add whipped cream and caramel drizzle (optional)

-Ask them to add whipped cream & 1 pump of vanilla sweetener (optional)

-Ask them to add 1 pump of hazelnut sweetener

Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew (Starbucks)

I know… we just can’t escape the pumpkin flavors, but this one is good!

-Order a Pumpkin Crew Cold Brew (any size you’d prefer)

-If you really don’t want the pumpkin spice flavor, ask them not to dust the top with pumpkin spice and instead dust with cinnamon.

Hot Chocolate (Starbucks & Dunkin Donuts)

During fall the weather gets colder and colder and I know I get tired of iced coffee and frozen drinks. Instead, I love to get hot chocolate. There are so many ways to get you hot coco so bare with me…

-Order a hot chocolate (any size you prefer)

-Ask them to add caramel, vanilla, hazelnut, pumpkin

-Ask them to add hazelnut or toffee nut syrup (Starbucks only)

-Ask for whipped cream with pumpkin spice and or cinnamon dusted on top

Although it may be pumpkin season, we don’t always have to have pumpkin drinks. Try these different seasonal drinks and feel free to add your own twists and share your favorite fall drink recipes, I would love here what y’all come up with!
