Have you ever been walking around campus or at an event and saw someone you thought was a whole full course meal? Don’t have the confidence to go up to them and have an actual conversation? Tried to find out who he/she is through friends and social media, but you’re lurking game is trash? Social Media can be a huge help in finding out about a person, especially using Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat. With the right tips on “lurking,” you’ll be able to find out their relationship status, hometown, type of person they are, friends and more. Below are some social media stalker tips to find out everything about your future mans or STB baby-girl.

Finding their social media:

If you don’t know the person’s social media you are looking for, but know a close friend or someone who knows them, you can go to that person’s page and go in their following or followers and search the guy/girls name, it should pop up.

If you know what organization or sport they are apart of you can do the same thing but look up the organization/sports team Instagram and search the followers as well.

Finding where they are from:

If you have found them on Instagram, most people will tag their location at the top of at least one of their Instagram pictures. Most of the time if they are tagging a location, it is most likely where they are from or somewhere in their city.

You can also try using Twitter if you know their name. Most people have their hometown or city they live in, in their bio.

If you can’t find it on Instagram or Twitter, you can check Snapchat for a city filter or if they have their location shared.

So now you know their name, social media and where they are from.

Finding out if they have a boo or possible side pieces:

On Instagram, there is always that one, two or five girls/guys that comment random emojis or “bestfriendd” with unnecessary heart eyes, hearts, star eyes, etc. under their picture. Go through the comments and check for consistent commenting. If one person is commenting under more than three pics that have yet to be deleted, they are either thirsty, a best friend, FWB or an S.O.

If they have a picture with another person of the opposite sex, intimate picture or not, check the tag on social media for who the person is.

If they have passed the boo test, most likely they are single and you’re free to start planning to shot your shoot.

Last but not least… figuring out the type of person they are:

People say you can’t always depend on Twitter to understand someone because their tweets are just tweets. This applies sometimes. By scrolling through someone’s twitter, you can get a feel of the type of person they are. The conversations they have with other people, the things they retweet, etc. You might found out through a tweet that they’re “just looking for somebody to spoil” or “act right.” Twitter can tell you a lot.

The other place to see a person’s personality is through Snapchat. If they’re on Snapchat a lot, you can see what they do in their free time, who they hang out with, etc.

Hopefully, we have helped you find your STB through social media. You found they’re single, y’all from the same region, they’re looking for somebody to “hold them down” and that the one girl/guy who is always commenting under his/her pics is not getting paid any attention to. This is your time to shoot your shot (or like three pictures and wait for a dm)… whichever is your preference.
