As the new year and new decade begins, I would like to write a letter to my future self. I am specifically writing this letter to the woman I hope to be at the end of the next decade, 2030. I hope this letter inspires others to do the same thing, so one day you can look back and reflect on the words you have written.

Dear Chance,

I hope these past 10 years have treated you well. I hope that you have remained true to yourself despite the ups and downs life has to offer. My biggest hope is that you are happy! I hope that God has blessed you with joy, peace, and gratitude. I also hope that your relationship with God has grown even stronger since the college days. I hope that you have finally learned and witnessed that God has a plan for your life, even bigger than you could have ever imagined.

I already know that your work ethic hasn’t changed and that you dedicate most of your time to making sure you have everything under control. I hope that you love your journalism career and that you wake up every day ready to take on the real world! I hope that you are an inspiration to others in the workplace and that you remember that everyone has room to win. In the journalism field, it is easy to feel like you need to compete with someone for a better position, interview, and more. However, remember that what is meant for you won’t pass you by and that everything happens for a reason! Also remember, worry about nothing, instead pray about everything!

Furthermore, I hope that you are living your best life! Traveling, trying new foods, conquering fears, and experiencing the beauty of life. Remember that you only live once, so live!! Live in the moment, feel the moment, and capture the moment.

I hope that God has continued to bless your family and friends. I also hope that God brings new people into your life who are genuinely good people. I hope that your immediate family has expanded and that you are now a proud auntie who loves her nieces and nephews to pieces.

Last but not least, I hope that you have found or are close to finding real love. I hope that you have found your soulmate, someone who compliments your life in a great way. Someone that inspires you to want to be a better woman. I hope that he truly gets you, understands you, and that he loves you unconditionally. I hope that he matches your energy and your fly lol. I hope that it’s a love that lasts forever.

In the end, I hope that you God blesses you with what you need and the desires of your heart.

Best Wishes and much love from yours truly,
