Joining different clubs is a great way to make new friends, and network with others. With so many clubs to choose from it can be hard picking the right ones. Here are 5 tips to help guide you with picking the perfect club to join.

1. Go to Interest Meetings

Interest meetings are super important when it comes to finding out which club is right for you. They are a great way to meet members of the club that you want to join, and find out what the club is all about. Interest meetings are also good for mingling with others who are thinking about joining the club, and share the same interest as you.

2. View the Organizations Social Media Page

You know how you stalk your significant other social media pages? Well you should do the same thing when it comes to any club or organization that you plan to join. Social media pages will allow you see what type of events and community service that the club take part of.

3. Ask Around.

People love to talk. You’d be surprised at how fast something can spread around a college campus. Listen to what other people are saying on campus about what clubs they may join. Also asking other students in your class is a great way to figure out what clubs people are really into.

4. How Much of your Time will this Club Need?

Always remember that your school work and mental health comes first. Some clubs can be very time consuming. You shouldn’t join a club that is going to make you overly stressed out. College is already stressful enough, there is no need to add something to your life that is going to take up too much of your time.

5. Will the club allow you to grow?

When joining a club you should think about how the club will benefit you. Will the members of the club push you to be the best version of yourself? Will you have the opportunity to really network with other people who have the same interest as you? Will you end up making new friends or will it just be more girl drama? These are all questions that you should be asking yourself.

If you follow these tips you definitely shouldn’t have a hard time figuring out what club to join. Clubs are a great way to meet new friends and get involved on campus. If you join the right club your school year should be blast! Good luck!
