Welcome back to school, ladies! No matter what your summer was like (hot or not) we’re starting this school year off the right way! In this article, I will give you tips on how to adjust and maintain a healthy lifestyle to keep your mind right and maintain that 4.0 this hot girl semester.

Get You A Planner

First, if you are like me, I understand that it can be hard to find a balance between your schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and whatever social life you may have. One thing that helps keep me sane is creating and maintaining a planner. I know. I know. This is something you think nerds use or your grandma may use to keep track of time, but trust me on this one, it will keep you in check. Keeping track of when you should do you homework, when you should eat, or even scheduling in personal time for yourself will help you keep control of your life. Think you have a scholarship due soon? Check you planner. Think there is a test coming up? Check your planner. Want to know when the best time for a nap would be? Check your planner! Planners are a cheap and easy way to help you stay on track and you can even decorate or customize it to your liking, so go get one today.

Solidify Your Study Method

Let’s be real, studying is boring…I’ve been there. But take the time to discover a study method that works for you, boo! Don’t just sit there for 3 hours at a time looking at a computer screen only halfway “studying” or trying to read a book from 1998 while texting the groupchat and binge watching Game of Thrones. Take frequent breaks every once and awhile. Treat yourself to some candy after every few pages of notes or take a minute to listen to your favorite song. Don’t let studying be a boring task. Change your perspective on the study process and make it fun for you. Trust me, it will make your life easier.

Give Yourself A Break

Lissstennnn, there comes a point in the semester where I just get really sad and I’m just not motivated anymore. I know I go through this and so do some of my friends. It is ok to just take a break for your mental health and treat yourself by planning a trip or going to the spa. You can even bring your friends if it will help everyone as a whole. Mental health is important to keep track of (haha use your planner) and you will feel so much better about yourself when it all pays off in the end.

These three tips will change your life. Hopefully, you’ll go out and use them to get that 4.0. Good luck, sis!
