Her Campus E-Board Weighs In On Their Must-Have Products For Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hampton U chapter.

When it comes to trying new products, it can always be slightly tricky to truly find what works for you. At Her Campus Hampton U, we lean on each other for our perspectives to help gauge how a product works for us. Some of us have forever holy grails meanwhile others have various products in rotation.

Here’s what our E-Board shared as their Fall favorites for this year and why you should add these products to your beauty routine before 2022 ends.

COSRX’s Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (Makaela – Marketing & PR)

Who would’ve thought a snail could be so useful to skincare? For those that may not know the benefits of snail mucin, it has the power to help combat dehydrated skin. Makaela has made this her year-round go-to after falling in love with the product’s hydrating agents that work well with her skin and helps to add an additional layer of nourishment to her skin. The glowy finish has especially been her favorite and has given an extra boost to all of her makeup looks throughout 2022. This product is especially for those that may suffer from dry or dull-looking skin and is also offered in a travel size.

Good Molecules’ Hyaluronic Acid Serum (Kamiel – Associate Editor)

This beauty brand’s viral run over the past month leaves us with no surprise about Kamiel’s choice. Good Molecules prides itself on being a brand that is not only vegan but also fragrance and gluten-free. The hyaluronic acid built into the product allows for the skin to be penetrated on three levels of moisture– talk about hydration! Kamiel loves this product because it’s been helping to keep our skin moisturized as the weather grows colder and helps to provide a smoothing finish. The serum can be used daily before using other moisturizing products to enhance them and after cleansing the skin. This product is offered in a 30 ml or 75 ml bottle.

Fenty Beauty’s Match Stix Collection (Riana – Instagram Co-Lead)

What better way to have your foundation goals than with Fenty? After initially using Fenty Beauty’s Matchstix Trio, Riana was drawn to make this product a go-to in her makeup routine. While this product is slightly on the pricier side, it is worth the price for its variation of being used to conceal, highlight, or contour for all your desired makeup needs. Each variation comes in at least five shades which can give you the opportunity to mix and match to find which one is your perfect match. Riana specifically used the shade “suedish” for her complexion, “espresso” for her contour shade, and “sinammon” to give her a glittery finish for the highlight.

Neutrogena’s Clear Pore Cleanser and Mask (Jordin – Photography)

An old-school brand still can be relevant to the new school, according to our Photography Lead Jordin. She’s grown to love Neutrogena’s 2-in-1 golden product for its cleaning power and the results she gets after every wash. Though she uses it as both a mask and cleanser, she recommends it to anyone who is looking to get a bang for their buck with high-quality results. The product promises to deeply penetrate into the layers of the skin to help fight oily skin and acne breakouts. It also has benzoyl peroxide as one of its ingredients which is primarily known for being a blemish-fighting component that is usually used to treat moderate acne symptoms.

LATME’s Ice Roller (Ayonna – Video Production Co-Lead)

Over the past year, we’ve seen the trend of incorporating ice into our skincare routines and all the beautiful results that have people gained. Ayonna has incorporated LATME’s ice roller into her routine more and more after finding that it helped her to combat the seasonal allergies blues when it comes to redness of skin in certain areas by providing additional blood circulation across the face. It has also helped her to depuff her face after waking up in the morning. Utilizing this ice roller can also help relieve you of migraine symptoms and provide you with a fresher version of your skin by smoothing it over time.
