Hampton Man Crush: Ammaar Bilal

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hampton U chapter.

This week’s Hampton Man Crush is Ammaar Bilal, Graduating Senior, Aviation major from Plainfield, New Jersey. He is a member of North Pac, Student Aviation Leadership Team, and Project YES. This week we go to talk to this cutie!

HC: How do you feel about the current rise in sexual allegations across the nation?

HMC: Women should be respected. Males should hold themselves accountable. Women should be held to the utmost respect and they shouldn’t be violated. But females should also do the same.

HC: Do you participate in cuffing season?

HMC: I feel there is no such thing as cuffing season. It’s whenever the person is ready. You shouldn’t feel confined to this certain times.

HC: What are you looking forward too most this holiday season?

HMC: I’m looking forward to chilling and catching up with family and friends and good vibes while also getting some rest. These last few weeks have been killing me. and getting some rest these last.

HC: Are you more of a giver or receiver?

HMC: I feel like I’m more of a giver because I’m always looking out for people. *laughs* I think I’m nice dude. I feel like if you give it will reciprocate back to you. You should always give more.

HC: Favorite Hampton Experience?

HMC: Sophomore year water fight by The HUnderground. Everyone was out there. It was definitely a good time.

HC: What is the most important part of a relationship to you?

HMC:  Honestly being on the same page. One person thinking can’t be thinking one thing while the other is thinking something else. Trust is also an important factor.

HC: Any hobbies?

HMC: I like to play basketball. I also enjoy reading and listening to trending artist. I also dabble in poetry. *winks*

HC:  How do you deal with the stereotypes of being a Black man in America?

HMC: We defiantly have a target over our heads. We are oppressed in a way where success is hard to obtain and there is a system against us in this society. As far as what I do to deal with it, I personally try to keep myself out of certain situations and away from certain crowds. Also as a black man you always have to carry an I.D.

HC: Are you single and looking to date?

HMC: I’m single. I’m trying to find my other half my queen, my sugar foot, boo wifey, Hampton Woman.

HC: Would you consider yourself romantic?

HMC: I def got some moves under my sleeve. My ideal romantic date would be a home cooked candlelight meal by yours truly with the table aesthetics good smells and vibes in the air and of course the throwback R&B music in the background.

Well, there you have it! Be sure to follow this cutie on Instagram @ammaartoocool.
