As midterm week approaches, it’s going to be so hard to focus on our main goals. Midterm week is always a handful and we tend to get distracted by the little things. Here are a few tips on how to keep yourself focused during this stressful time.

  1. Find What Motivates You

When studying for midterms, I like to think about the bigger picture or the end goal. My bigger picture is that spring break is right around the corner and I know once I get through the week, I’ll be able to relax. So, find the bigger picture or the end goal in your situation and make the best of it.

  1. Write Down Affirmations

I absolutely love affirmations !! Writing down positive affirmations to get you through the week is the best thing. Write some affirmations on a post-it notes and put them on your mirror for when you wake up or put some on your laptop.

  1. Congratulate Yourself Every Step of The Way

During the week, it’s easy to self-doubt or look down on yourself for the things that you think went wrong. Always be mindful that the little things matter. If you planned to study for four hours, but only did two and a half, that still matters. If you submitted two assignments in one day instead of four, be proud of yourself. Every step counts.

  1. Self-Care Is Important

Taking care of yourself is so important and helps you stay focused during this important week. Make sure to eat healthy meals that will keep you awake and alert. If you’re a person who goes to the gym often, make sure to go maybe once during the week during midterms to keep you steady and active. You always come first, so make sure you’re always healthy and in good shape.

As the midterm week comes upon us, I wish everyone the best and most successful week !!
