HC: What is your favorite music genre?

AJ: I would not say that I have a favorite music genre because I do like listening to all types of music, but if I had to choose I would say R&B.

HC: Tell us about a time when you overcame defeat?

AJ: I would have to say last year when my professor assigned a very last-minute group project at the end of the school year. It was extremely frustrating because none of my group members wanted to actually work, so I realized that I had to step up and take the leadership role. At one point I felt defeated because every time I tried to get everyone to meet nothing worked out. However, I knew I wanted a good grade, so I sucked it up and did the work and got my well-deserved grade an A.

HC: Celebrity Crush?

AJ: Michael B. Jordan he is just great.

HC: What motivates you to grind day by day?

AJ: The thought that once I finish college, I will have a degree motivates me every day. In today’s society having a degree does improve your chances of getting a job.

HC: Who is your greatest inspiration?

AJ: My greatest inspiration is my parents. I see everything they do to give me a great education. I appreciate how they always try to make sure I have the stuff they were not able to have while growing up.

HC: What is your favorite quote?

AJ: “Nothing is impossible the word itself says I’m possible,” by Audrey Hepburn is my favorite quote, because of how motivating it is. No one should ever discourage themselves because of how large or difficult the task at hand is. That should only make you want to push forward and finish.

HC: How would you describe your style?

AJ: I would describe my style as unique. I try not to wear the same outfits all the time, and I do love doing a slight pop out when I go to class.

HC: What is your best childhood memory?

AJ: When I was younger during Christmas Eve, my sister and I would hide behind the couch to see if Santa was real. However, it would never work out because we would either fall asleep before we could see him or my sister had to use the bathroom so we would be caught by our parents.

HC: What is the craziest thing that has ever happened to you?

AJ: I have had a few crazy moments in my life, but I guess one of the top craziest moments happened at Six Flags. I was on a rollercoaster, and I cannot remember if we were about to go upside down, but the ride turned and I almost fell out. I was so scared because I thought I was going to die that day.

HC: Biggest accomplishment in life so far?

AJ: Going to college and excelling at my studies by making Dean’s List.

HC: Have any plans for Black History Month?

AJ: Some of the organizations that I am in have a few special events coming up, so stay tuned!!

HC: A$AP Rocky vs Travis Scott?

AJ: Definitely, A$AP Rocky, I love his style and his smile so much.
